Christmas Photo Challenge

Since I had an epic fail with my Project 365 (I hate to make excuse but I was preggo with my third child lol) I decided I wanted to give myself another mini project...minus about 320 days and add a holiday theme to get my Christmas Photo Challenge I found on Pinterest (which I will admit, I am a little bit addicted). This one in particular was created by Positively Present and is a neat way to capture all those holiday memories and grow as a photographer. I love these photo challenges and who knows, with the new year fast approaching maybe starting January 1st I will tackle Project 365 once again! Until then, I will be posting plenty of Christmas themed photos. I will be posting them on my facebook page Photography By Alison so if you haven't already, go on and like my page! Seriously, do it!

Dress Up Fun

So I'm a wee bit addicted to pinterest. It inspires me to be creative and think outside the box.  I have seen one pin in particular that really got me excited. It was an idea to take pictures of your daughter in your wedding dress to save for her special day. I love this idea, what a better way to reuse your wedding dress.
Now, normally it's like pulling teeth to get my daughter to stop and pose for me. Give her a dress bigger than her and she's all over it. Really lots of fun! Thinking of offering a special on it down the road, thought anyone?

 

A Walk In The Park

I love meeting new people through my photography and last weekend I got the opportunity to meet and take pictures of the Hood family. Although the wind was chilly and blew at the most inopportune times, I enjoyed taking pictures in the big city of Calgary. A great experience all around! Thanks guys!

All You Need Is Love

Well once again I couldn't ask for a nicer fall day to take pictures of a great family! It was so warm and we were lucky to have some pretty leaves still on the trees!
Little Seth has definitely one busy boy, he kept me on my toes for sure! And Bella was so easy to take pictures of! One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is that I get to capture the love and affection a family has for each other and this family had lots of it!

One Sweet Day

Couldn't ask for a better day to take pictures for the wonderful Davidson family. Some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. They also have some of the cutest kids you'll ever meet! I had a great time (as always) hanging out and taking pictures and I am happy that I have so many pictures of Owen with a smile on his face. He sure tried hard to keep it from me! Hope you love your pictures just as much as I do! xo
