Project 365 - Day 1

So I really think that Project 365 is such a great idea! Inspiring us to pick up those camera and take at least one picture for the day. I love it. Unfortunately, I kind of missed out on the Project 365 for 2011, so here is my own Project 365 for my 28th year, starting today on my birthday! :) 
This was my son, a grumpy teething little monster today. Being sick on your birthday is bad enough, but dealing with a sick, teething little man is even more challenging! Here is a rare moment, trying to get him to relax on my bed and getting no where!

Farwell Summer

Although it seems as if summer was never really here in the first place, it has once again come and gone in a hurry. Or maybe I was just in a hurry and didn't notice it was here. Either way, it is nearing an end and now that my six year old is back in school, I have realized that I haven't touched my blog in quite some time. I've done a few shoots, so I will give you a summary of the summer in a few pictures. As always, most of my work is posted on facebook so if you're really starving for some more, there are lots to choose from there! This weekend I will be working on a selection of prints I will be putting up for sale. Prices and sizes will be posted when the picture gallery itself is posted. Next month I start up my day home but I will continue to work on my photography as time allows. I have plenty spots open so book your family pictures for those Christmas cards, it's not as far away as you think!!

Spring Is In The Air

I've been having an awful lot of fun taking pictures lately! Of course, I always do, but it's even more fun getting to play outside in the nice warm weather! It hardly seems like this is work! Though I am not as busy with my photography as I'd like to be, I'm happy to have time to hang with my little ones and my friends...often ending up in fun little photo shoots. Here's hoping of a summer filled with great memories, lots of fun and a whole bunch of photos to remember it by! 

In The Tub...

It's been awhile, I can't lie. I've found somewhat of a tub to use for my pictures but it's my parents and I can't keep it. It's also almost too big for even Tanner...and so the search continues!

Yesterday a couple friends of mine stopped in for some baby pictures. It was so fun! I got a ton of great shots and got to hang out with some great people! Here are a few of what I got!

Spring Fever

Ahhh spring is in the air! There may still be snow on the ground, but I still have my spring fever! Last Friday I took pictures for a friend of mines children who are soo cute! They turned out well and I got to use my new furry throw rug that I bought for props. Though I had to rebook my Saturday appointment and don't have another shoot until next Saturday, I am working on the 'business' part of my photography, which is all I really can do at the moment with a house full of sick children and husbands! I am working on ordering a set of business cards, to which I hope to get rid of them all, a poster to post in around town to attract business from people in the area, a pricing list, adding some new portraits to my portfolio and possibly a contest involving a free photoshoot and maybe a few little extras!! More details to come! In the mean time, here are a few shots from Fridays photoshoot!

New 'Toys'

I always like to show off new props and backgrounds! Here's a background I picked up the other day and I absolutely LOVE IT!! I'm going to be busy this month taking lots of pictures and I am very excited! As of today, I have five shoots booked for this month! Of course, I am still looking so make sure to give me a call! For the month of March, I am charging $50 for a portrait session, which is an amazing deal!!! I look forward to hearing and working with you!!! ;)
